A két hónapos Wu Zimiao egy nagyon ritka bőrbetegséggel jött a világra. A kislány testét óriási anyajegyek borítják, ami úgy néz ki, mint a dalmata kutyák fekete-fehér mintája.

Az egész világon az újszülötteknek csupán 1 százaléka jön világra ezzel a betegséggel.

She now has large moles over much of her skin which are sure to cause her problems with acceptance in society in the future if not treated. Wu Zimiao, the two-month-old infant, was born with congenital melanocytic nevus – a type of mole and birthmark that affects about 1 percent of infants worldwide. Zimiao’s father, Wu Xianpo, said he had never seen anything like it in his life, but was relieved when doctors told him the condition is easier to treat the younger the patient is. The dark patches are mainly focused on Zimiao’s left shoulder and right arm, but also appear on her head and back. The parents from Xinyi Township, in north China’s Hebei Province, are now desperately trying to raise the estimated 300,000 to 500,000 RMB (31,500 to 52,600 GBP) needed by the hospital for laser treatment. Xianpo admitted that such money will be hard to find for a migrant worker like himself, with his wife largely involved in farm work, but he vowed to do everything possible to give his little girl a normal future. Large congenital nevi, like the one suffered by Zimiao, are caused by mutations in the body’s cells during early embryonic development, with no known method of prevention. While the moles do not cause any physical pain, they are often removed to prevent cancer, and also to help relieve any psychosocial issues the patient might suffer in the future as a result of the condition. „Nekem ő mindenhogyan gyönyörű" – mondta el a kicsi édesapja, Wu Xianpo. A szülők nemrég adomány gyűjtésbe kezdtek, hogy egy műtéttel el lehessen tüntetni a baba testéről az anyajegyeket.

A betegség nem jár fájdalommal, de ahogy a kislány nő a testén lévő anyajegyek könnyen elrákosodhatnak. A műtétet pedig minél fiatalabb korában kéne elvégezni.

A beavatkozás azonban nagyon drága, a családnak több mint 15 millió forintnak megfelelő összeget kéne összegyűjtenie a kezelésre.

A szülők reménykednek, hogy sikerül majd és a kislány teljes életet élhet. Addig is igyekeznek mindent megadni neki, nagy szeretettel nevelik a picit.
